Gods Gift of Love by, Erica Chamlee (Dedicated to David Ishaya Osu and Saddiq M. Dzukogi)

Gods Gift of Love

Two souls,
lead by fate
to connectively
connect…
Both knew of loss…
Both knew of pain…
Suffering come
as a daily bread…
As poetry
became the gift
of both of their release…
Many days shared…
Many prayers prayed…
On their innocent knees…
Grasping moments of life…
Inhaling loves reason…
Holding onto one another with honor…
Through all of life’s reason, and season…
Unwavering friendship…
Deep, beheld , God fearing, brothers…
Grasping laughs at the shores thrust…
Often long conversing,
Leaning against the trees love…
Someday’s fate would keep them apart…
Tearful they still felt one another…
Understanding the God,
That eternally held ,
Them both within heart.

UnBridled

Perhaps…
He wanted…
Me…
To pretend …
To care…
To look…
To think…
To even…
Acknowledge him…
Trivial to me…
Unhesitatingly…
I blink…
One look …
One hiss….
One moment…
One kiss…
Inside …
Prolifically …
Surely he’d be dead…
Slowly …
Drained …
Deep poisoning…
His veins filled …
Intoxicating-ly…
With my alluring…
Scent of his imagination…
Flavor of his desire…
Created as his proclamation…
Come low …
Come low…
Rain …
Rain…
He takes…
Me higher…
He cracked…
My holiness…
Split in two …
My one…
Caught…
By…
My…
Reflection…
Mirroring…
Me…
Through…
Lost…
Skies…
Falling…
To rise…
Found…
Inside…
Loves..
Dying sighs…
Where he…
Cradles me
Inside…
His…
Eyes…
E written
Blending in
Cryptically hidden…
Variances …
Of him and me …
Unbridled between…
These lines of we…
Called poetry.

Invertingly Seclusion by, Erica Chamlee

Invertingly Seclusion

A sudden shock in his eyes…
Where his truth became his lies
As I just stood ,looking at him…
A sudden stir in his knees…
Quivering exclusions.
Arms held outstretched for me.
Reachingly….
See …
All our world around, now spinning….
Out of your grasp…
A sudden flick of the brush…
Painting misfortune…
Bi-curious…
Ohh ooooo…

Saintly devils…
Evol Love…
Shanking flames of water…
Swimming in dripping fire…
So vainly…

A sudden shock in his eyes…
Where his truth became his lies…

As I returned him …
Invertingly
Opposites attract
retroactively…
In seclusion…

Loves illusion…
I wanted to taste his hate …
Just once his lips of sweet black magic….
Feel his hands of wizardry…
Inside where his face will always be…
The origin of this journey
Inside me
Where I see
Undividingly…
Passionate…
Intermissions…
And this is where we dance…
Alone, but inside this oneness…

Transcendence!!!!!

Gone are the days, when girls suffered

The indignities of abduction, rape and forced marriages

Others becoming unwilling mothers in captivity

Many missing basic education,

Reduced to animal level, for don’t animals have their own rights?

We labor to lose

The cream of life

Cause…

Male greed, discrimination

A variety of arguments being thrown around

To justify it, many of little value

Or appealing to emotional reactions,

Are there no men weaker than men?

The society must acknowledge

Women can,and do play the same roles as man, just like we have seen it all.

In education, politics, national security, and more so the economy.

To play down womanhood

Is to crack the very foundation

On which greatness stands

It’s in their backs,

That great nations are built.

We are,

Because they are!

Two Poems by Saddiq Dzukogi

Granny’s Face

After child birth
Stretch marks appear
As though the skin
Is a glass
Fallen face-flat on the floor
Barely in one piece

Even time
Draw lines
On skin
When we fall deep into age
Can’t you see the wrinkles
Carved as folds
On granny’s face

It’s all Perspective

A window that is half open
From a point
Is half closed from another
It’s all perspectives
A sea that lies before earth
Sees a sun dosing
Falling into its salt
But the one trickling
Crawling off a stone
Tastes like a moon
In a womb
On the curtainface
Dancing in the music
Of constellation
Consuming the pulse
Of watery lyrics
That dampens the throat of a thirst
It’s all perspectives
Sight goes out the window
To fetch meaning
Eyes come into the room
To see perspective
It’s all perspectives
